General Information:
Ms. Romero worked with the Jewelry Design Department at FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in downtown Los Angeles, to create their History of Jewelry course. She also co-curated and co-authored the exhibition and catalog for FIDM's Museumscheduled to open in late 2011: a timeline of jewelry and fashion entitled "Adorned: Two Centuries of Jewelry and Dress, c.1800-2000."
This project continues on in the spirit of dedication Ms. Romero created.
Christie Romero was the instructor for the Antique & Period Jewelry course offered at Santiago Canyon College in Orange CA for over 10 years and has lectured across the country and overseas form numerous historic and jewelry events. Ms. Romero also the authored the text for FIDM's jewelry history course, Warman's Jewelry, 3rd Edition, Krause Publications, 2002. Ms. Romero was a certified graduate of the SCC Gemology program, a jewelry historian, consultant and lecturer.
